Luisa Buitrago is a bilingual, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She believes psychiatric care should be grounded in scientific knowledge, never solely shaped by personal beliefs or assumptions.

Luisa’s clinical interests include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, insomnia, trauma, and the management of culture shock. She has a strong commitment to minority mental healthcare, with a particular focus on the Latinx community.

Luisa is fluent in English and Spanish. Born and raised in Colombia. Rooted in her own personal history and shaped by years of clinical experience, Luisa is especially empathetic toward individuals who face emotional struggles and are looking for thoughtful mental health care.
